Welcome to Pegasus Primary School

We believe every child can be an outstanding learner

Corona Virus Pegasus Primary – Update 27th May 2020

Following the government announcements we are preparing to open to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils on the 2nd of June.  We will continue to provide child care/education to our community’s Key Workers and named vulnerable children. This will be monitored daily as to the community’s needs, staff availability and government messages.

Please note that if you have not informed the school of your child’s return then DO NOT send them in. We request 7 day’s notice and we reserve the right to say no if we are upto capacity.

We all need to do our duty to help each other in this pandemic. Children that are returning to school must be follow the strict social distancing out of school. This is vital to protect our staff and community. Children will remain in a social bubble.

Welcome to Pegasus School!

"A highly regarded school at the heart of its community" Ofsted 2016

We are delighted to share with you our wonderful school. We offer education from 2 years to 11 years old as well as opportunities four younger children. For us, learning is just the most exciting thing you can do! Our children come to school full of enthusiasm as every day they know there will be something to intrigue and to inspire them. This is why our children achieve well by the end of their time with us. By the end of their journey with us they have grown into responsible, diligent, independent and inquisitive young people who make the most of every learning opportunity. We are very proud of them and their success.

We strive to give children extra ordinary experiences and take advantage of what Oxford has to offer. We are privileged to be on the door step of a city of academic success and we work closely with different organisations to give children a sense of the possibilities in life. Our curriculum reaches outside the classroom - we run Forest School programmes with Reception and Y3. Y3 to Y6 take part in residential visits, including Hill End, Snowdonia and The Peak District. We have our own allotments and our children grow fruit and vegetables. We cook together and share lunches with our families. Our children love our curriculum and the opportunities it offers. "The school’s engaging and vibrant curriculum is a real strength" Ofsted 2016.

A key feature of our school is the relationships we build with children. We are a Family Links Nurturing School and we run a nurturing programme for all children! We believe strongly in building children's emotional resilience to enable them to believe in themselves. Every child deserves to experience success!  "Pupils thoroughly enjoy school and thrive". Ofsted 2016

We work with families in lots of ways - we love you to take part in our learning activities, Stay & Play sessions and workshops. We also run parenting groups for children . We believe we are stronger when we work together!

Our website is just an introduction, please feel free to come and visit, we’d love to show you our wonderful school!
